Hub M3 – for the first time, it brings together Aqara devices and third-party devices with Matter support. It supports Thread, Zigbee, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and infrared (IR) protocols.
With a 360° IR emitter, Hub M3 makes it easier to control IR-controlled devices (such as TVs and split systems).
If you have previous versions of Aqara hubs, M3 will transfer their automation from cloud computing to local**. Since device management will no longer depend on the Internet, the stability of the entire network of devices will increase. In the event of a signal loss from one of the hubs in the network, M3 can easily take over control.
The built-in 95dB speaker can be used for home security alerts and custom automation signals. You can set up offline notifications even without an internet connection.

Peculiarities
Aqara Hub M3 is designed to enable interaction between different Smart Home technologies and ecosystems. Specifically, it establishes communication between Zigbee/Thread, Matter and HomeKit devices, providing greater flexibility and control over your connected devices.
The IR controller with feedback and learning capabilities controls the equipment that operates via a remote control with an IR emitter. Now, if you use the remote control, M3 will also detect the change in the device's state and take it into account, instantly displaying the current state and settings in the Aqara Home application. For example, if you use the IR remote control to switch the split system from cooling to heating, this is the status that will be displayed in the application. The next time you turn it on via Aqara Home, the split system will continue to operate with the same settings that are set on the remote control.
Aqara Hub M3 enhances the privacy of your Smart Home by minimizing data exchange over the Internet. Your data will be stored on local storage with end-to-end encryption without uploading to the cloud. All this thanks to the built-in 8GB eMMC memory.
How does it work
The M3 acts as a universal hub, supporting Aqara Zigbee and Thread devices, as well as integrating third-party devices into the Aqara Home app.
As a Matter controller, it enables seamless communication between Aqara devices and other Matter-compatible platforms. The hub is controlled via the Aqara Home app, where the user can set up automations, scenarios, and receive notifications about events in the home***.

Установка
The M3 comes with a mount, screws and a sticker for easy placement on flat surfaces, as well as on walls or ceilings. Magic Pair technology ensures automatic detection of the device by the Aqara Home app after powering on. Go to the Aqara Home app, click “add device” and connect the Aqara Hub M3 to the power supply. The device will be detected and you can add it to your Smart Home.
Automation
Aqara Hub M3 offers a wide range of options to automate your Smart Home. Here are some of them:
- Setting the alarm: Aqara Hub M3 can be configured to activate the security mode manually when the set automation conditions are met or when you move away from home. Using sensors, when motion is detected or a door or window is opened, the alarm and/or lighting are activated.
- Lighting automation: You can set up automatic switching on and off of lights depending on the time of day, the presence of people in the room or other conditions. For example, a smart light bulb can turn on after receiving a signal from a motion sensor. At the same time, you can limit the operating time of the automation to only night or another period.
- climat control: Aqara Hub M3 can interact with devices for temperature, humidity and ventilation control, creating comfortable conditions in your home. For example, responding to a signal from a temperature sensor about reaching a certain degree, Hub M3 can turn on a split system.
